Tracy Simaika is a Canadian trained and licensed Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with over 12 years of experience working in Canada and the Middle East before starting practice here in Asia.

Tracy understands that nutrition is a hot topic on which there are endless streams of conflicting information and opinions of which she can provide the appropriate answers for each individual.  As a registered dietitian, she is governed by strict licensing standards and codes of conduct and is trusted as a reliable source for safe, evidence based, medical nutrition therapy.

Tracy completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan, (Canada) followed by a year long clinical internship with the Regina Health Authority (Canada) before passing the national exam to practice as a Registered Dietitian.

She became board certified as a Diabetes Educator in 2005 and has extensive experience providing outpatient care, developing and leading nutrition programming and working with patients from diverse backgrounds.

While her passion focuses on those with diabetes, Tracy is also very practiced working with prenatal programs, endocrinologists, paediatricians, bariatric surgery programs, corporate wellness programs and flight crew support services, in addition to chronic disease management.

Her philosophy is to provide client centred care that uses lifestyle medicine and behaviour change to empower her clients to reach their goals.

Tracy is a co-chair of the Practice in Global Contexts Network for Dietitians of Canada since 2012.

She is licensed through the College of Dietitians of Ontario and is an active member of Dietitians of Canada, Hong Kong Dietitians Association, Hong Kong Nutritionists Association and the Hong Kong Practicing Dieititans Union.

She and her husband have enjoyed living abroad as expats since 2008 residing in Dubai, Spain, Singapore and now Hong Kong. They welcomed the addition of a daughter to their family in 2014 and are enjoying family life in the active community of Discovery Bay.
